I was driving on my way to the train this morning, when The Girl Is Mine by Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney came on the radio. Remember that one?
Alright, fine, no radio station in its right mind plays The Girl Is Mine; I actively chose to listen to it on my Michael Jackson History cd. Jeez. Cut me a break, yeah? So I like music I can happily snap to in the wee hours of morning. I do. And you do too.
But I was really listening to the song this time, and listening to the lyrics finally as an adult (Thriller came out a year before I was born, actually). And this girl they’re passively fighting over like two very lame things–what a bitch. Yeah, seriously. She’s all telling Paul he’s her forever lover (which, really, he needs to just chill about because it’s not like he doesn’t have Linda waiting at some vegetarian restaurant for him somewhere anyway) and telling Michael—whom I think we can all agree was a very confused man already—that after loving him she couldn’t love another. Can you say mixed signals? Honestly. Ditch the girl. She’s clearly a liar.
I suggest you bark up another tree, gentlemen. Hey, how’s about Olivia Newton John? I mean, she is hopelessly devoted to you. I see some real potential there. Or, you know what—maybe Bonnie Tyler, who…ya know…needs someone to warm her up a bit after her heart was totally eclipsed. Which hurts, let me tell you. She’s probably all too happy for a rebound. I personally have not seen Madonna as too much of a fashion icon but it seems the Iconix Brand Group who currently have acquistions like Rocawear, Ed Hardy and Echo just to name a few have a different vision. They have decided to call the brand ‘MG Icon’ whereby Madonna herself will have a 50% share of the company. It seems this venture is on both parties vision, the Iconix Brand Group state that Madonna’s name, face and overall aura is going to have a massive influence on the brands look and future. Madonna in similar fashion states this opportunity is a great one that she can not let by pass her. Her visions for fashion can now become real and be exposed not only in the USA but nationally.
Well as you can see another fashion and music venture but how long or successful will it be is another story. Some of us learn slow and other never learn. I spent my life proving a point, which is love don’t love nobody. The only think a black woman understands is control and I mean physical restrictions. The old saying about first the money and then the power and then you can enjoy the rest to include sex, is real.
Sure you can alter the process and enjoy sex first but you will end up with nothing but a bunch of child support payments. Women liberation screwed a lot of things up, women think they run the world, because they have college degrees, while the black man is incarcerated, but in reality they are simply defenseless and at the mercy of the men of the community.
Until the black woman can learn to step aside and let the black man lead the black family will be highly dysfunctional. Look at the black community where there is very little unity among the people, they rob, kill and assault each other over trivial shit, because the black man today is disparate.

Reports are coming out of Hollywood that [lastfm]Madonna[/lastfm] had a little meltdown at [lastfm]Elton John’s[/lastfm] pre-Oscar party over the weekend. According to British paper The Mirror, the party was sponsored by Grey Goose, and Madge got angry when she wasn’t able to get a drink made with her personal vodka preference, Belvedere. A source says that [lastfm]Madonna[/lastfm] was “dropping F-bombs like they were going out of fashion” and manager Guy Oseary had to calm her down. The source also says that actress Jane Fonda said hello to Madonna, but she was in such a bad mood that she didn’t even turn around to acknowledge her.

I feel awful about Santiago and surrounding areas in Chile. When I watch the news coverage of the aftermath from the 8.8 earthquake, I’m in tears. We have so many devoted fans in Chile, Madonna traveled through during Sticky & Sweet and the Chilean fanclub produces so many outtakes. The people of Chile have been so friendly and great, breaks my heart that there is no warning system in place for all of these earthquakes and Tsunamis. For Chilean fans, remember that it’s how you get back up that matters. You export food to my table, I have strawberries and blueberries in my kitchen from your country. Well wishes to you. You’re in my thoughts every minute of the day.

Facebook has changed the way the fan pages are updated and it benefits the music postings (soundcloud/blogpost auto feed the main news for fans). I’m beginning to tailor each new release being posted in Facebook. Twitter is auto-updated though I don’t spend much time interacting in Twitter. Madonna Radio has hundreds of followers in Twitter and thousands in Facebook. I’m beginning to interact in Twitter more often though I really enjoy Facebook for Madonna Radio. Facebook is way more interactive. The platforms that Madonna Radio is currently listed in are being explored. Madonna released her iTunes App for iPhone/iPod and turned off the Madonna Remixes App for a while. I contacted iLike.com, all music is available in http://madonnaremixes.com. The App she designed is nice enough, 20 second sound bytes is appropriate seeing as when I use the apps, they are on for a short time unless I’m in the sun bathing. The Madonna Remixes App better be back on when Spring arrives, I’m going on holiday and would rather listen to the App than load the iPhone with music already in the App. Hmm….
